Set to Wheatus’s 2000 summer hit “Teenage Dirtbag,” Upton posted on Instagram 10 nostalgic photos and video clips of her younger self over the song's epic lyrics.

‘cause I’m just a teenage dirtbag baby / yeah I’m just a teenage dirtbag baby / listen to Iron Maiden baby with me

Her compilation starts with a recent moment of the model in classic glam from the 2022 MLB All-Star Game this past July and quickly transitions to the throwbacks. Her dirtbag photos feature messy hair and dark eyeshadow. She sneaks in images from her iconic Carl's Jr. burger-eating campaign days as well as a classic SI Swimsuit photo from her 2012 photo shoot. “Teenage dirtbag Kate was T H R I V I N G ☠️🤣” she captioned.

When Upton was first featured in SI Swimsuit in 2011, she was 19 years old, and we’ve gleefully watched her evolve and take the world by storm over the years.

The teenage dirtbag trend can be traced back to as early as March 2021 and has been steadily gaining steam on TikTok and Instagram. Celebrities who you’d never expect to have gone through their own teenage dirtbag phase like Reese Witherspoon have posted their own iterations of the trend. We all love a good walk down memory lane.
