Fans of Grey's Anatomy were thrilled when Dr. Addison Montgomery returned to the show for three episodes of Season 18, but her cameo left viewers wondering if they'd seen the last of Addison at Grey Sloan. Well, we have good news for those hoping for more Dr. Montgomery in the near future, courtesy of the actress who plays her!

Woman's Day spoke to Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice actress Kate Walsh, who revealed exclusively that she is currently in talks about a potential return for her character when Grey's comes back for Season 19.

"If that works out, it's going to be an incredible storyline," Walsh tells Woman's Day. "I'm super excited about it, but we'll see — hopefully that will all transpire."

"It's all being discussed now. Showrunner Krista Vernoff and I have been talking about a possible arc this upcoming season for a few episodes, and it would be really cool. We were sort of going back and forth with ideas, and I think there's some really powerful stories to tell," she says. "So we'll see — if it all moves forward, it would be really, really great." Here's hoping we get to see these powerful storylines play out on screen sooner rather than later!

Walsh also confirmed that her character Madeline Wheeler will be back for Season 3 of Netflix's Emily in Paris, and says the audience can expect even bigger laughs from Madeline. Walsh says she's "super, super stoked" to go back and finish shooting in a couple of weeks, after a brief production shutdown related to COVID.

While she couldn't reveal too much about the plot for the new season, she did allude to seeing more of Madeleine than ever before. "They've written some really great stuff for me this season, and it's really funny. It's bigger and funnier and more exciting than ever, in terms of fashion and the locations. And they've really, really leaned into writing Madeline's character," Walsh dishes.

Overall, she says, "it's just been delightful. It's fun to go to work and make people laugh every day and work with friends. I'm very lucky to be working with Darren Star, and Andy [Andrew] Fleming, who's executive producing. And everyone's just been incredible."
