Nero took to social media to discuss her new gig, explaining she initially moved to Cincinnati because of her love for baseball and interest in the Reds.

"Talk about a full circle moment," Nero wrote. "When I got the chance to cover sports in a city with such incredible baseball history, I jumped at it."

Nero will also broadcast the Opening Day parade Thursday, March 30, according to her Instagram post.

Nero spent 20 years with WCPO between 1998 and 2018, working as a news anchor for 15 of them. She was previously a social media host, reporter and columnist for The Enquirer and has been serving as director of media at Game Day, a public relations firm in Cincinnati.
