Katie Holmes Lists Calabasas Home for $4.625 Million

Katie Holmes is bidding Calabasas adieu—at least for now. The Dawson’s Creek alum recently listed her 6,000-square-foot Tudor-style mansion for $4.625 million, five years after she first purchased it for $3.795 million, reports the Los Angeles Times. Located in the gated Oaks community, the half-acre estate borders undeveloped land, and features a main house and a guest house on its premises.

The main house has six bedrooms and seven bathrooms spread out across two floors, with plenty of large picture windows to let in ample natural light. Dark wood floors and pristine off-white walls add a sense of modern elegance to the space. The front entryway leads, through an arched doorway, to a formal living room with a floor-to-ceiling marble-fronted fireplace, with entire rows of large picture windows lining three walls. Just above the entryway is a cozy lofted library accessible via a short flight of stairs. Elsewhere in the home is a formal dining room with views of the pool through one set of windows and an exit to an outdoor lounge space through two sets of French doors.

The kitchen, located just off the dining space, features a large center island and boasts black cabinetry and white glossy counters, along with top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances. On the second floor, a landing space connects many of the bedrooms. The master suite is sizable, with white walls and a chandelier hanging from the middle of the space. There's room enough for a sitting area and a private, sunny balcony that has unobstructed views of the mountains and canyons below. Other bedrooms and bathrooms are similarly elegant, with marble deep-soaking tubs and picture windows overlooking the surrounding setting. Out back, there's a glistening swimming pool and spa, a basketball half-court, and enviably, a sunken fire pit great for gathering on colder nights.
