Katie Price reveals she was raped at gunpoint in South Africa
Katie Price has revealed she was raped at gunpoint by six men after her car was carjacked while filming in South Africa in 2018.
The reality star, 44, spoke of a failed suicide attempt in which she “knocked herself out and had black eyes” as she struggled with her mental health and PTSD in the aftermath of the horror attack.
Ms Price was thrown out of her people carrier in the violent carjacking as she travelled from Johannesburg to Swaziland during filming for the second series of her Quest Red reality show, My Crazy Life with ITV.
She told the Mail Online: “The experience when I was filming with ITV in South Africa, we had no security, if we had security they would have been able to deal with the six guys that jumped us, held me at gunpoint and raped me.”
The vehicles were ransacked of valuables including cash and jewellery but the thieves left behind expensive camera gear. The armed rapists were never arrested by police.

Price initially opened up on the horror attack during an episode of Channel 4’s SAS: Celebrity Who Dares Wins in 2020, where she said: “Police said it was a miracle they didn’t kill us.”
Police chief Brigadier Leonard Hlathi told the Sun the attack happened when the group pulled into a dark lane to use the toilet.
He added that the attackers pulled keys from the ignition of the 4x4 and “threw them into the bushes”.
Speaking ahead of her Channel 4 documentary Katie Price: Trauma And Me, she candidly revealed she entered a “dark place” before her horror drink-drive crash last year.
She explained: “I live in the countryside, I had no outlet, I needed to talk to someone and that night I let myself down.
“I am not justifying anything, there was a reason why I got in the car and why my head was like that.
“Unfortunately, I did get into that place. I would never get into that place again. It happened and it’s real but I have learnt.”
The star, who still goes to weekly therapy sessions, explained she checked herself into The Priory not to deal with drink or drug issues but to confront her ongoing battle with PTSD.
“I wish I would have done this years ago. It would have stopped a lot of things that I might have said or reacted to.
“I have to accept [certain situations] and not bite back to anything anymore.
“I feel better and I feel stronger for that. I don’t need to rectify or prove anything to anyone. I know the truth. I have grown up!”
