Scouting Report

Houser is the definition of a gunslinger, he is the type of quarterback who can make every throw on the football field and make it accurately. He has a huge arm with great pocket awareness as well and can extend plays with his feet. Houser is the QB of St. John Bosco, a high school football powerhouse that is currently ranked the No. 3 high school team in the country. Bosco makes sure to play a schedule that is stacked with nationally ranked teams and talent, so Houser will be battle-tested by the time he is on campus. Houser's recruitment was taken to the next level at the beginning of this month as a result of Houser performing better than many other quarterbacks on the camp scene. Houser earned an invite to the Elite 11 finals next week through his performance at the Elite 11 Los Angeles camp. He will have the ability to compete against 19 of the best QBs in the country.

Impact

Houser will have a strong influence on the 2022 recruiting class. Being a strong headliner for the class, showing his ability as a quarterback will draw others to want to play with the star QB. Houser is the perfect person to headline Michigan State's class and to continue to preach Mel Tucker's 'relentless' message. Houser will be entering a QB room next season along with Payton Thorne, Noah Kim, and Hamp Fay, and will provide the ability to compete with them immediately. Spartan fans should be excited about the addition of Houser and will welcome him to the Spartan family with open arms.
