Kattz Corner's waiting list now open

Mar. 25—LENOIR — Kattz Corner is now leasing beautiful one, two, and three bedroom apartment homes at 316 Lower Creek Dr., Lenoir.

These new affordable apartment units will be income restricted, meaning that residents' income must be a minimum amount and cannot exceed a maximum amount. The exact range of qualified income has yet to be determined, according to Regional Manager Julie Walter. However, Kattz Corner is currently accepting applications for the waiting list.

"It's very important to be on the waiting list," said Walter. "We can't take walk-ins until we've run out of the waiting list. When we start taking applications, it will be very quick."

Apartment features include Energy Star appliances, extra storage space, ceiling fans, washer and dryer hookups, carpeted bedrooms, and vinyl tile in the kitchens and bathrooms. Kattz Corner also provides facilities such as laundry, business center, playground, clubhouse, fitness center, and picnic area. Kattz Corner is a smoke-free community. No pets are allowed, but service animals are welcome.

Kattz Corner is located in proximity to shopping, restaurants, and additional life amenities.

"I certainly believe that having more affordable apartments in that beautiful area in Lenoir will make a great impact," Walter said. "I believe that more people need access to affordable housing, especially with the state of the housing market right now."
