  • The singer, 37, brought the heat with her seriously strong legs on full display.

  • While Katy doesn't love going to the gym, she tries to get in high-intensity workouts with her trainer when she can, and eats very healthy meals.

Katy Perry and the entire American Idol crew turned out to celebrate moms and mother figures this week, and Katy put her best foot forward in the wardrobe department.

The 37-year-old singer worked a gorgeous pink corset dress paired with nude pumps that showed off miles of toned, strong legs.“Of CORSET you’re watching #americanidol rn riiight? 🎀” she joked on Instagram about the look.

While Katy looks super fit, she’s been very open in the past about not loving the gym. "My exercise routine is being half late to the workout because I hate working out," she previously told the Wall Street Journal. "I'm always like, 'I'm so late, too bad I can only do a few things.' The guy who works me out is like, ‘Yeah, right.'"

When she does exercise, Katy likes to mix it up. Sometimes, that means hot yoga—a practice she swears by for her mental health. “I have had a dance with depression, and hot yoga helps clear it all out,” she told Prevention. “If you have a healthy body, it helps you have a healthy mind."

Katy has been known to crush a plyometrics workout, and shared a video on Instagram of herself doing a slew of jumps and skater moves. This type of workout gets the heart rate up while also helping with some deep toning. Plyometrics also require your muscles to stretch and contract quickly, which helps them become more explosive.

Katy's also worked with celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak, who has said she tries to exercise five days a week, doing high-intensity workouts that include lunges and hip thrusts. “These tone, as well as boost her metabolism, and can be done anywhere,” he told Closer magazine, per Prevention.

Katy’s big on getting her steps in, too. Pasternak told Hello Magazine that Katy hikes “every day” and wears a pedometer to count her steps. "She loves working out in the fresh air," he added.

When it comes to nutrition, Katy is a very healthy eater, focusing on staples like grilled chicken, quinoa, and asparagus for dinner, she told People. “I always need my daily vitamins and I loved fresh-pressed juices and coconut water,” she added.

Katy’s “not a huge breakfast person,” she told WSJ, “so I usually wait for lunch, and with lunch, I’m all about the salad."

Note to self: Get a pedometer.
