American Idol judge Katy Perry is joining Peppa Pig in a special guest star role next year.
The official Peppa Pig Twitter account has announced the US pop star will appear in a special episode of the beloved kids TV show to mark it's 20th anniversary.
The episode will air in 2024, with Perry set to play the role of Ms. Leopard on the show.

"We’re SO excited to announce that @katyperry is the voice of the new character, Ms. Leopard in a Peppa Pig special, next year!," read the announcement post on X, formerly Twitter, alongside a photo of Perry's character.
Ms Leopard is seen as a cartoon leopard animal, dressed in a purple dress.
Deadline report that Perry's character is a dress maker who will help with the preparations for the first-ever Peppa Pig wedding between Mr Bull and Ms Cow.

The nuptials, and the build-up to the big day will be shown in a three-part special titled Peppa Pig Wedding Party Special, which will air in spring 2024.
Perry's character will appear in one of the three special episodes. The announcement post clarified: "All casting and filming for Ms. Leopard were contracted and completed before the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes and are compliant with SAG-AFTRA rules."
Fans were quick to react to the casting news, sharing their joy at Perry's role.

One X user wrote: "We need a trailer!", to which the official Peppa Pig account replied: "Stay tuned!".
"This is so cute and daisy must be thrilled," wrote another fan on the post, referring to Perry's three-year-old daughter Daisy Dove Bloom, who she shares with fiancé and Lord of the Rings actor Orlando Bloom.
The Fireworks singer has made no secret that she and her daughter are fans of the cartoon pig, previously sharing an Instagram selfie of her watching the show on her iPad this summer.
Perry was also spotted at a Peppa Pig themed afternoon tea bus tour nine weeks ago.
