Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom Celebrate Their Engagement on the Slopes: “She’s So Happy”

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are celebrating in the snow. The newly-engaged stars hit the slopes this week following their Valentine’s Day engagement announcement.

Bloom posted a photo of the pair in ski goggles and snow gear on Wednesday, February 20. “Underneath, we’re grinning from ear to ear,” he wrote.

Perry then commented, “Tag me so I don’t like look a random.”

The “Roar” singer and the Pirates of the Caribbean actor both took to social media last week to share a loved-up selfie of themselves with Perry’s eye-catching new engagement ring in the forefront of the photo. “Full bloom,” Perry captioned the snapshot while playing off her fiancé’s last name.

Perry’s coworker Ryan Seacrest shared additional details about the unexpected proposal moment on Live.

“I guess Orlando had this whole evening planned out,” Seacrest told Kelly Ripa. “She went from Idol and then a few hours later, we saw the post up on Instagram. She’s so happy. It was actually really beautiful to see her the next day so happy and beaming, so congratulations.”

The couple has yet to start wedding planning, but they are focused on a massive party with their pals. “They are planning a big engagement party for all of their friends,” an insider told People this week. “It will be very special. They are both so happy and excited to be engaged.”

It will be the second marriage for both Bloom and Perry. He was previously married to Miranda Kerr, with whom he shares his son, Flynn, while Perry was married to Russell Brand.
