Christine Blasey Ford said she does not regret coming forward with sexual assault accusations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh and would “do it again.”

Ford told Anita Hill, who accused Justice Clarence Thomas of sexual harassment during his Supreme Court nomination in 1991, that she would still come forward despite the harassment and threats she received after she testified against Kavanaugh during his confirmation process three years ago.

AFTER 30 YEARS, CLARENCE THOMAS NOW 'THE MOST IMPORTANT JUSTICE'

“I’m absolutely sure that I would do it again,” Ford said. “And that’s not to say that it hasn’t been really, really, really hard and that I’m still not as OK as I would like to be three years out of the situation. I certainly wish I was doing better than I am. But I do firmly believe I would do it again.”

The two women spoke on the four-part podcast Because of Anita, which explores the aftermath of Hill’s testimony 30 years later. They connected over the support received from women who connected with their stories and the harassment and threats they faced.

“What people saw on TV was generally people being very polite to me,” Ford said. “So that was not the worst part of it by far. But the afterward, when you are experiencing the retaliation and the smearing and the ongoing media, you feel like you are being investigated and that you are being evaluated for the Supreme Court. That was just so unnecessary and damaging to my family.”

Hill told Ford that though “it does get better,” she no longer has “any confidence in our courts or in our systems.”

Ford accused Kavanaugh of pinning her to a bed and groping her at a party when she was 15 and he was 17, which became a major debate over his confirmation when she came forward in 2018. Hill testified against Thomas’s confirmation alleging he made lewd sexual remarks around her.

Both Kavanaugh and Thomas denied the allegations levied against them.
