KBR, AYTB get contract for maintenance services
KBR, AYTB joint venture receives 7-year contract for refinery maintenance services
HOUSTON (AP) -- KBR, an engineering company and contractor, said Wednesday its joint venture with AYTB, a company that offers engineering services in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, received a 7-year contract to provide refinery maintenance services worth between $140 million and $170 million.
The contract is for services for the Saudi Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemical Co., in Jubail Saudia Arabia, a new plant that is expected to start production in 2013.
The value of the contract will be determined by services rendered. KBR said the contract represents the first long-term maintenance contract in Saudi Arabia for its services business group.
Houston-based KBR Inc. shares closed up 3 cents at $29.66 on Wednesday.
