These KC area restaurants had health code violations: Applebee’s, Pegah’s and more

Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

Applebee’s, 6800 Johnson Drive, Mission, had 11 violations during a Nov. 1 standardization inspection.

Pegah’s Family Restaurant, 12122 W. 87th St., Lenexa, had 10 violations during a Nov. 1 standardization inspection.

Spin! Neapolitan Pizza, 9359 87th St., Overland Park, had seven violations during a Nov. 2 routine inspection.

The Kansas City Health Department cited these operations for seven or more critical violations:

Burrito Brothers, 407 Main St., had nine critical violations during a Nov. 6 routine inspection.

Brookside Barrio, 6227 Brookside Plaza, had eight critical violations during a Nov. 6 routine inspection.

Jalapeno Tacos KC, 8140 N.W. Prairie View Road, had seven violations during a Nov. 1 routine inspection.
