These KC area restaurants had health code violations: Big Belly’s, Magic Noodle, more

Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

Magic Noodle, 8013 W. 159th St., Overland Park, had 13 violations during an Oct. 18 inspection following a complaint.

Jose Pepper’s, 6870 Johnson Drive, Mission, had 10 violations during an Oct. 26 routine inspection.

McLain’s Market, 5833 Nieman Road, Shawnee, had 10 violations during an Oct. 24 routine inspection.

Urban Egg, 4921 W. 119th St., Overland Park, had eight violations during an Oct. 24 inspection following a complaint.

Dragon Empire Chinese Buffet, 11560 W. 95th St., Overland Park, had seven violations during an Oct. 16 inspection following a complaint.

Park’s Kitchen (Oak Park Mall), 11149 W. 95th St., Overland Park, had seven violations during an Oct. 16 inspection following a complaint.

The Kansas City Health Department cited these operations for seven or more critical violations:

Big Belly’s, 8940 Wornall Road, had 17 critical violations following an Oct. 18 routine inspection. It had two during an Oct. 26 follow-up inspection.

LC’s Bar B Q, 4800 Blue Parkway, had eight critical violations during an Oct. 17 routine inspection.

Dott Boss Cocktails and Coffeehouse, 101 W. 11th St., had seven critical violations during an Oct. 18 routine inspection.

Margarita’s, 2829 Southwest Blvd., had seven critical violations during an Oct. 18 routine inspection.

Mama Ramen,1513 Grand Blvd., had seven critical violations during an Oct. 25 routine inspection.

Subway, 6413 N. Cosby Ave., had seven critical violations during an Oct. 26 routine inspection.

Two Light Bar, 1444 Grand Blvd., had seven critical violations during an Oct. 19 routine inspection.
