The KC Current’s first home game is Saturday. What to know about tickets, what to bring

The Kansas City Current are coming home.

After last week’s season-opening loss to the North Carolina Courage, the Current return to Children’s Mercy Park for their first home game of the season on Saturday.

Before Kansas City kicks off against the Portland Thorns, here’s what you need to know about going to Current games this year.

How to get tickets

Check out the single ticket options for KC Current home games here. Ticket prices range from $18 to $250, depending on where the seats are.

These prices will vary depending on whom the Current are facing, what day they’re playing and how well the team is performing. If they play like how they did last year when they finished in second place, you can expect ticket prices to go up.

For premium ticket options, click here. You can buy limited edition tickets for the UMB Field Club or Shield Club, which gives you exclusive seating access near the Current’s bench and food options only available with these tickets.

You can also submit applications for premium terrace tables and executive suites that can host between 15-30 guests. It includes access to in-seat food and drink service.

Where to park

There is no free parking at Children’s Mercy Park or the surrounding area, so a parking pass is needed. You can get a parking pass online for KC Current home games here for $20.

You can park in the lot you bought a pass for. It could be one of the following options:

  • Nebraska Furniture Mart Lot: available for premium ticket holders and single-match purchases.

  • Red Lot: available for season ticket members and single games.

  • Blue 1 Lot: a complimentary option for Shield Club and Terrace Tables buyers. It’s also available for season ticket members to buy.

  • Blue 2 Lot: complimentary for all fans.

The parking lot outside of Children’s Mercy Park opens three hours before kickoff and closes two hours after the game ends. That’s plenty of time to tailgate if you’re into that.
