‘KC fans are absolutely nuts.’ Chiefs faithful at icy Arrowhead shock social media
Before the second half of the Kansas City Chiefs-Miami Dolphins game, actor and lifelong Chiefs fan Eric Stonestreet posted a selfie from GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.
At least we think it was Stonestreet.
A pair of ski goggles hid his face. A thick, bulky scarf around his neck left no skin exposed to the record-cold football weather. And the hood of his furry coat — with “teeth” — covered his head.
“It’s honestly not that bad out,” the “Modern Family” star and Kansas City, Kansas, native wrote.
But it was — fourth-coldest game in NFL history. The coldest of any Chiefs game, with temps dropping to minus 6, not counting the wind chill. And on social media, the weather and die-hard Chiefs fans got just as much attention as the Wild Card game.
X user The Cardboard Cop tweeted that “KC fans are absolutely nuts (also probably the most passionate fans in the NFL) and would show out in the middle of a literal apocalypse there could be actual zombies walking around and arrowhead would be rockin if the chiefs are playin.”

Here’s what else caught social media’s attention Saturday, including that frozen mustache.
Shirtless dude
A Miami Dolphins fan took off his shirt in the Artic-like temps. Social media gasped.
“There are way too many shirtless people at this Kansas City Game,” X user @nonstop_sportss tweeted.

Today’s PSA for #ChiefsKingdom attending this Saturday: Your beer is gonna freeze within minutes. If you choose to imbibe, liquor is a better bet in frigid temps. https://t.co/aHoCuLY2AN

Taylor Swift’s frost problem
Yes, Taylor Swift watched the game from a suite. But frost on the window seemed to impede her view for a while.

Cardboard
One of the most important necessities of the night: cardboard. Fans used it to cushion their feet from the cold, cold ground.
How many Amazon boxes gave up their lives for this game?

That piece of cardboard is by far the most important thing a fan can bring to Arrowhead!!!

Andy Reid’s mustache
Social media was tickled by Andy Reid’s iced-over mustache. A game-changer, for sure.
