KC Swifties can prepare for Eras Tour shows with a week of Taylor Swift-themed events

More than 100,000 people will be seeing Taylor Swift on July 7 and 8 in Kansas City. But even so, quite a few of her biggest fans missed out on tickets.
GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium’s tailgating policy also means these fans won’t be able to “Taylor-gate” during the show like fans in other cities have been doing during Swift’s tour.
If you weren’t one of the lucky ones, there are a few Taylor Swift-themed events happening the week of the show.
“POPSTAR” NIGHT AT KAUFFMAN STADIUM
The Royals are having an enchanted evening before their game against the Los Angeles Dodgers on July 1 at Kauffman Stadium.
With the purchase of a “Popstar Night (Royals Version)” ticket, you can get access to a silent disco in the Hall of Fame pavilion, starting at 4:30 p.m.
Tickets start at $15 and parking passes cost $20, which can be bought here.
“Your WILDEST DREAMS will come true when you join the Royals for a FEARLESS night at The K,” the Royals said on their website announcing the event.
TRIVIA NIGHT AT BAR K
Bring your dogs for a night of Taylor Swift-themed trivia at Bar K on July 5 near the Berkley Riverfront. The trivia part and entry into the dog bar for people and Bar-K members is free, but it costs $10 for the first dog and $5 for each additional dog for non-members.
Trivia starts at 6:30 p.m.
TAYLOR FEST
The pre-game for fans starts July 6 at recordBar. Doors open at 8 p.m., and the show starts at 9 p.m. It’s a party for Swifties by Swifties, where everyone’s the main character.
Tickets cost $25.49 and it’s all general admission. You must be 18 years or older to attend.
LIGHT SHOW AT THE PLANETARIUM
Union Station’s laser light show centered around the singer’s biggest hits closed in May, but they’re bringing it back for the weekend of the shows. The songs are brought to life in laser light displays and animations under the Planetarium’s 60-foot dome.

Ticket cost $5 for Union Station members and $10 for non-members. Show times are at 6 and 7 p.m. on July 6-7.
SWIFTY SAMPLING AT BOULEVARD BREWING CO.
The local brewery knows Swift and legions of her fans are coming into town and to that, they say “Welcome to KC! It’s been waiting for you.”
Boulevard Brewing Co. is hosting a guided tasting on their Rec Deck with Boulevard’s resident Swift superfans: Sarah and Greta at 6 p.m. on July 6.
Tickets cost $26 per person, which gets you a guided flight of six beers, a keepsake koozie and a pair of sunglasses. You must be at least 21 to go on the tour.
Important note: Swifty in beer terms means “a single beer that is drank in between activities.” A lot of Swifties will be having a Swifty during the weekend of the shows.
POP-UP PARTY IN SMITHVILLE
The Raising Rust Event Center is hosting a pop-up Eras Tour event from 4-8 p.m. on July 6. Tons of themed snacks, photo opportunities full of references to Swift’s greatest hits, a sticker bar and a temporary tattoo bar are all in store.
You can book two time slots to enter the party: 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Tickets cost $20 for everyone 4 and up, and each person needs one to go inside.
The event hosts said each person needs a ticket so they know how many take-home goodie bags to make. Everyone who attends will get one.
ERAS PARTY AT J. RIEGER & CO.
Electric Park Garden Bar is turning its outdoor patio into a Swiftie paradise complete with Eras-inspired cocktails, friendship bracelets to exchange, local vendors with Eras-inspired outfits, photobooths and Taylor Swift’s music playing exclusively through the speakers.
Since it’s at J. Rieger & Co., it’s geared toward fans 21 and up, but parents are welcome to bring their kids. The party starts at 6 p.m. on July 6.
