KCAS Pets of the Week: Ryker and Rhys

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) —  This week’s featured adoptable dogs from the Kent County Animal Shelter are two lovable dogs waiting for their forever homes.

Ryker is a 1-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix that loves people of all ages and sizes. This pup is looking for a home that will treat him like family. The shelter said he will sneak into your bed, lay with you on the couch with his toy, go camping and hang out around the yard.

He is still young and is learning manners.

“Ryker is really stressed out at the shelter. He gets to go on field trips, but they are not enough to keep him happy, he needs a real home,” the shelter said.

Rhys is a 2-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix that has been at the shelter for two and a half months. This sweet boy loves everyone he meets. He is mild-mannered with other dogs and prefers to be around dogs with similar personalities.

“He always looks so sweet and quiet in his kennel, patiently waiting for someone to come by and get him out to get some love. Once he’s out of his kennel he is an outgoing boy who is ready for fun!” the shelter said.
