Many airlines are offering nonstop flights from KCI, including newly added and restored flight options in anticipation of the grand opening of the airport’s new terminal by early March.
Southwest Airlines is adding new service to Long Beach, California, as well as restoring service to Albuquerque, Indianapolis, Milwaukee and Minneapolis. Sun Country Airlines, which is new to KCI, will also launch a seasonal service between Kansas City and Minneapolis.
“The Kansas City Aviation Department is extremely pleased with the airlines’ commitment to returning service and launching new service following the airlines’ recent growth and reinstatement of flights over the last year,” Kansas City Aviation Department spokesperson Justin Meyer told The Star.
