KCRA sits down with candidates Ken Cooley, Josh Hoover
The race for California State Assembly District 7, which includes Rancho Cordova, Citrus Heights and Folsom, pits Democrat Ken Cooley against Republican Josh Hoover. Since 2012, Cooley has represented the former District 8 – and due to redistricting, he is now running for District 7, which has some overlap with his current constituency. Hoover is also rooted in the community, having served on the Folsom Cordova Unified School Board since 2018. Hoover told KCRA 3 that his top priority is to reduce the cost of living for Californians by stemming inflation.
