BRIANA SMITH: Now, taking a look at whether, Bryan, you've said it before, I think the best advice for people heading out this weekend is to hydrate and put on some sunscreen.
BRYAN SHAW: Yeah, and just try not to overdo it. I know a lot of people are very excited for the summer-like weather and all the activities going on. It's kind of like the first free weekend that we've had of restrictions and guidelines. And events are just opened up now. So a lot of people are going to want to be outside and enjoy this really nice weather.
But you have to take it easy and not overdo it just because it is going to be very hot, and it's easy to do. So make sure you spend some time inside in the air conditioning to just kind of cool off a little bit or at least in the shade and stay hydrated. Temperatures already warm this morning, 66. A little bit of cloud cover sitting over Western Pennsylvania.
That's going to move through from West to East. It will clear up. And see, plenty of sunshine for today. High pressure over the region in the Ohio Valley. And so that is our influence for our weather right now, where we are going to have clear skies for the majority of today, and then some very warm temperatures for the next several days.
We're going to be well above average all the way through the weekend. And then even through next week, you see the area in yellow and orange indicating above average temperatures. And that sticks around. Temperatures warm up fast for us for this morning. By lunchtime, we're already going to be in the upper 70s and low 80s.
A couple of spots in the mid 80s. A few clouds start to pop up in the afternoon. This is going to kind of be like what we'll see for the afternoon and evening hours for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. The differences here and tomorrow, we don't squeeze out the rain showers. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, we'll have that potential.
So a little bit of cloud cover in the afternoon. That fades away for the evening hours. It's still very warm. Temperatures in the upper 70s and low 80s. Clear skies for the majority of the night. We'll start off tomorrow, very warm, in the upper 60s and 70s again. And then almost a repeat tomorrow, just likely a couple of degrees warmer.
Temperatures jumping up into the upper 80s and potentially 90 for tomorrow. Last time we hit 90, August 25. It was 93 degrees that day. So a very hot day. Sunday evening, temperatures still very warm. The cloud cover does stick around this time around, though, into Monday. Most of Monday is going to be dry.
And then we're going to bring in those rain and storm chances popping up in the afternoon and evening. Temperatures in the mid to upper 80s for today, sunny and hot. Then we drop down into the mid 60s for tonight. It clears out but stays warm. Hot for tomorrow again. Mostly sunny skies for the majority of the day.
And then we'll just see a few clouds in the afternoon. That's what we're going to kind of have for Monday, and Tuesday, and Wednesday, just a few afternoon pop up showers and storms. So it starts off mainly clear in the morning. We start to see a few clouds.
You get those tall clouds. Some of them get a little dark and squeeze out some rain showers and storms for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Then it becomes a little more scattered, meaning more rain activity on Thursday. A better chance to actually see rain showers on Thursday. And it goes back to just an isolated rain or storm chance on Friday with temperatures slightly cooler in the low 80s.
