Keanu Reeves sparked another internet frenzy this weekend when he stepped out on the red carpet with his rumoured girlfriend Alexandra Grant.

The notoriously private actor appeared to confirm he was in a relationship with artist Alexandra when the pair walked hand-in-hand down the red carpet at the LACMA Art + Film Gala on Saturday (November 2) after years of dating rumours.

Keanu and Alexandra are said to have first met back in 2011 when they collaborated on Keanu's life-affirming picture book Ode to Happiness.

Five years later, they collaborated again on photography series Shadows and in 2017, the duo founded publishing company X Artists' Books alongside Jessica Fleischmann.

It's worth noting that neither Alexandra's nor Keanu's representatives have ever confirmed that the twosome are anything more than just friends.

Nevertheless, the pair looked very comfortable in each other's company as they exchanged proud glances and loving smiles in front of the cameras, and they've been pictured at events together since 2016.

Throughout his career, Keanu has kept his personal life private, although he recently admitted that he used to have a crush on his Speed and The Lake House co-star Sandra Bullock, even if they never dated.

In the 1980s, he was in a relationship with his Babes in Toyland co-star Jill Schoelen, while he also dated actor and personal assistant Jennifer Syme from 1998 until 2000, before she later passed away in 2001.

Last year, Keanu's Bram Stoker's Dracula co-star Winona Ryder also admitted she thinks she and Keanu may have been married for real on the set of the 1992 Francis Ford Coppola film.

"No, I swear to god I think we're married in real life," she said. "In that scene, Francis [Ford Coppola] used a real Romanian priest. We shot the master and he did the whole thing. So I think we're married."
