Keating honored for 25 years of service as Kingston administrator

Jun. 16—KINGSTON — Administrator Paul Keating recently was presented with a plaque and proclamation on his 25-year anniversary as borough administrator.

Keating was presented a proclamation at a recent Kingston Council meeting and four mayors attended the ceremony.

Information included in the proclamation:

—May 9, 1997, Paul Keating was appointed municipal administrator by Mayor Gary Reese, and May 9, 2022 marks the 25th anniversary of Paul Keating's dedicated service to the community.

—Administrator Paul Keating has soundly and expertly managed Kingston's finances, been a wise and careful steward of our residents' tax dollars, earned Kingston an investment-grade AA bond rating, secured numerous grants which substantially improved Kingston's infrastructure, and ensured the financial strength of our community for years to come.

—Administrator Paul Keating has provided visionary leadership to our community by improving our parks, playgrounds, and streets, overseeing historic renovations to our cherished Hoyt Library and Kingston Pool, and has protected and ensured Kingston's status as the finest residential community in our area.

—Administrator Paul Keating has creatively and skillfully managed and improved Kingston's critical police, fire, and public works resources, overseen the construction of our state-of-the art fire station and the implementation of life-saving paramedic services, worked creatively with Kingston's neighboring communities, provided our residents with the region's premiere municipal services, and ensured the safety of our community.

—Keating has set a continuing example of ethics, professionalism, and public service which has inspired his colleagues and our community and on which Kingston mayors, councils, and citizens have long trusted and continue to rely.

May 16, through May 22, was declared as "Paul Keating Week" throughout the Municipality of Kingston.

Mayor Jeffrey R. Coslett presented Keating with a plaque at the ceremony.
