Yahoo Sports' Krysten Peek shares her evaluation of Iowa Hawkeyes F Keegan Murray
KRYSTEN PEEK: Keegan Murray shot up draft boards early in the college season after scoring with ease at every level on the court. The 6'8" wing out of Iowa loves the iso situation, particularly on the left side of the rim, and averaged 1.5 points per possession in mismatched post-ups. He also has a clean outside jumper, averaging 40% from deep, including posting eight 3's in a win over Indiana. Murray doesn't have the quickness to consistently keep smaller, faster guards in front off the switch and it will be something he needs to work on at the NBA level.
The Iowa wing has a similar game to Knick's guard Obi Toppin with his outside shooting and scoring ability. Murray's draft range is anywhere from four to six and is a player that can be plugged in right away to any of the teams in that range-- the Kings at four, Pistons at five, or Pacers at six.
