Keene State student arrested for allegedly threatening a member of Congress

A Keene State student has been arrested after allegedly threatening a member of Congress.

According to court documents, Allan Poller is facing a federal charge of threat in interstate communication.

Poller is accused of leaving a voicemail for a representative of Congress after midnight early Wednesday morning that included a threat.

Court documents did not state the name of the U.S. House representative who received the voicemail.

“If you keep on coming for the gays, we’re gonna strike back and I guarantee you, you do not want to f--- with us,” Poller said.

“We will kill you if that’s what it takes,” Poller added, according to an affidavit.

According to the documents, Poller was stopped by Keene campus security outside a classroom and Poller admitted to leaving the voicemail.

Poller said he did not actually plan to harm anyone and does not own guns. He added that he was emotional and intoxicated when he left the voicemail.

Keene State does not have a comment at this time.
