Keeping Thanksgiving plan 'a mistake' -Cuomo

"It's so much easier just to say 'we'll do it the way we normally do it.' That's the easy way. 'Come over, we'll be careful.' It's a mistake," Cuomo said, referring to indoor gatherings for the Thanksgiving holiday.

The long Thanksgiving holiday weekend, which begins on Thursday, is traditionally the busiest U.S. travel period of the year, and 2020 may prove to be no exception.

As for Cuomo, he says he has canceled his 'normal' Thanksgiving celebration, including with his 89-year-old mother. "It's hard, but sometimes hard is smart," Cuomo said.
