From Popular Mechanics

We previously named KEF’s LS50 some of the best bookshelf speakers; however, they usually cost well over the $1,000 mark. If you’re looking to upgrade your home entertainment audio without spending a small fortune, the good news is that Amazon has KEF’s more affordable models at serious discounts as well. Most startlingly, the Q150 speakers that usually cost $600 are now half off.

Though KEF’s Q-series speakers have been around since the 90s, this 2017 model boasts a sleek design, improved Driver Array to smooth treble frequency, as well as a cleaner, more accurate sounding bass than before. Each speaker weighs 12 pounds with a maximum output of 108db, so they aren’t necessarily for casual movie watchers or music listeners, but serious audiophiles will appreciate the quality they’ll receive now for just $300.

Though the Q150 delivers the best discount you can score now on KEF speakers, there are higher-end models you can get for a lower price on Amazon too. The LS50 wireless music system mentioned before is $700 off the original $2,500 price tag, and the LS50 mini monitors are $400 off the original $1,300 price. Plus, instead of just being available in black like the Q150, these models come in black, white, or black with a rose gold driver. Whichever speaker system you go with, you’ll save hundreds and be impressed with how much your audio can fill up the room without taking over too much space in your home entertainment setup.
