Keke Palmer’s boyfriend, Darius Jackson, received heavy criticism from social media users after publicly shaming the actress over an outfit choice.

Palmer, 29, attended Usher’s Residency in Las Vegas with a friend, wearing a tight Black bodysuit underneath a sheer polka dot dress, USA Today reported.

On Wednesday, Jackson responded to a viral video that showed Palmer being serenaded by Usher to his song “There Goes My Baby.” The pair hugged as he continued to sing, with Palmer having a brief moment to showcase her vocals on the mic.

“It’s the outfit tho..you a mom,” Jackson tweeted in response to the one-minute clip.

Twitter users didn’t hesitate to clap back at Jackson over his controversial remark, insinuating that Palmer should have chose a better outfit now that she’s entered motherhood.

“Shaming yo own partner online because they wore an attractive outfit is high levels of insecurity,” one user said in a separate tweet by Pop Crave.

“The moment men start seeing woman as mother figures they forget that they have any duality outside of that and thing they can’t be multifaceted,” another user wrote.

“Men are so jealous of partners that are more successful than them + is why I always advocate to never as a woman get in a dynamic like this,” a third user said.

“Not you jealous of your baby mother ! You right , she’s a mom NOT A WIFE !!!!!” another user echoed.

While users initially thought Jackson was joking, he doubled-down on his comments hours later with another tweet upholding his “morals” and “beliefs.”

“We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is.”

“This is my family & my representation. I have standards & morals to what I believe. I rest my case,” he added.

Jackson have since deleted his Twitter account.

After his comment circulated on social media, the two have seemingly unfollowed each other on Instagram, per Buzzfeed.

Palmer subtly responded to Jackson just hours after his viral tweet by posting photos recapping her night out.

“I wish I had taken more pictures but we were running late!” Palmer said in the post’s caption. “I am telling y’all right now, if you haven’t seen @usher YOU MUST GO!! HE WAS SO FABULOUS!! Giving theater, Atlanta downnn, tips and tricks and just absolutely iconic.”

Usher commented, “The Big Boss!! Thank U for coming 🙏🏾”

As Blavity reported, Palmer and Jackson announced the birth of their son, Leondis Andrellton Jackson, in February. The 29-year-old revealed she was pregnant when she hosted Saturday Night Live in December.

The couple has been together for nearly two years after they went public with their relationship in 2021.
