Kelley Brannon: Missing Florida woman featured on Tyler Perry’s Paramount+ show ‘Never Seen Again’

The case of a Florida woman who has been missing for nearly two years is being featured on a new Paramount+ show.

Kelley Brannon was last seen on July 15, 2020 leaving the Sunshine Inn in Live Oak in Suwannee County, police said.

Her disappearance is now the subject of a two-part episode on Tyler Perry’s docuseries, “Never Seen Again.” Each episode features a different case and the trailer asks, “Somebody knows something? Is it you?”

Brannon’s boyfriend Eddie Emerson appears briefly in the trailer for the show, holding a framed photo of Brannon.

The description for the first part of the episode briefly describes what went down between Brannon and Emerson the day she disappeared:

“After an angry fight with her boyfriend, Kelley Brannon paces a motel parking lot, refusing to return to the room. Waking alone at dawn, her boyfriend listens to a voicemail, her last trace, as she signs off “I am getting in a car.” Whose car and where she went have haunted him ever since. But her friends and family are not so sure he’s innocent. Was it him or was she abducted? Or did she ghost him and run away to reinvent her life?”

Katie Kaplan, a reporter for the CBS station in Tallahassee, said her series “Unsolved Florida” served as the outline for the “Never Seen Again” episodes about Brannon:

In January, the Lake City Police Department asked for the public’s help in locating Brannon.

Brannon was last seen wearing a white shirt, black shorts and was carrying a left-handed Fender Stratocaster guitar on her back, according to a Facebook post from LCPD.

At the time of her disappearance, she had black hair with gray streaks. She is 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighed 130 pounds when she disappeared.

She has a tattoo on her right hand near her thumb of a “Circle A,” police said.

NBC News reported on Brannon’s disappearance in November 2020. Her family was hoping she would be home in time to celebrate Thanksgiving with her mother.

Anyone with any information on Brannon’s location is asked to contact the Live Oak Police Department at 386-362-2222.

Another unsolved Florida case is also featured on the show. Terrance Williams, 27, and Felipe Santos, 23, got into the back of then-Collier County deputy Steven Calkins’ car in 2004 and haven’t been seen since.

“You have a white deputy who put two people in his car—they disappear,” Perry said of that case. “It’s heartbreaking as a Black man, it’s heartbreaking as a father.”
