Kelly Rizzo goes Instagram official with Breckin Meyer for his birthday

Kelly Rizzo went Instagram official with her new beau, Breckin Meyer, in honor of his 50th birthday.

Rizzo, 44, posted a sweet selfie with the "Clueless" star on May 7.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! To the man who is kind, sweet, silly, thoughtful, completely hilarious, handsome, understanding, charming, forever curious, compassionate, witty, warm & wonderful. You deserve to be endlessly celebrated today!" Rizzo wrote in the caption.

Rizzo's new relationship delighted many stars in the comments.

"Oh it’s instagram offish !!!" singer and actor Caitlin Crosby wrote.

"Omg. Is this his first time on THE PROFILE?!?!?" journalist Elisha Krauss commented, adding a heart-eyed emoji and multiple clapping emoji.

"I love this and I love you!!! No one deserves this happiness more than you," Savannah Chrisley wrote in a comment.

Entrepreneur Erica Eckman wished Meyer a happy birthday and added, "Love seeing you both so happy."

Earlier this year, some critics questioned Rizzo for dating again following the death of her late husband, Bob Saget, two years ago.

On Feb. 4, Rizzo attended a Grammys viewing party with Meyer. She also spoke about their romance during an interview with E! News, saying she finally felt comfortable dating again after Saget died.

“It took a while to get to the point where I’m like, ‘OK, I think he’d be happy with it,’” she shared.

But Rizzo said in a TikTok on March 10 that she received comments from people after debuting the relationship saying she was moving on "too fast."

In the lengthy clip, she replied to a supportive comment that said, "For those saying she moved 'too fast,' how long should she wait? It's been two years. He's not coming back. She should be able to have happiness."

In response to the fan's comment, Rizzo acknowledged that a majority of the feedback she has received since Saget died on Jan. 9, 2022, has been positive.

"But there are some people who just love to talk when it comes to dating after your spouse passes away," she said. "I'm going to start by saying unless you are a widow or widower you truly have absolutely no place, no right to comment on this because you do not know what it's like."

The blogger said that those who haven't lost a spouse will not understand the thoughts and feelings she has had to process over the last two years.

"At some point, when it crosses your mind to even think about starting to (date) again, just having those thoughts you feel guilty, you feel ashamed. You feel horrible. But yet, you also feel lonely and so you want to do it," she explained.

She said she waited about 18 months after the comedian's unexpected death before she decided to put herself out there again.

"Now people are seeing me with my boyfriend and it's, you know, two years and a few months after. And maybe some people think Bob passed like a minute ago. Because they're like, 'This is so fast.' It has been well over two years. And for every person, it's different," she shared.

She continued, "And as long as you're honoring that and honoring them, and being true to your feelings, and you know that you're also having the love and support and trust from your spouse's loved ones and friends, then you can't be doing it wrong."

She revealed she was initially concerned she would not find someone who understood that her late husband will always be a part of her life until she met Meyer.

"(Meyer) always asks questions about him and keeps him a part of the conversation. And that means so much to me, because I knew that I was going to have to find somebody who just got it. And fortunately I was lucky enough to find that," she praised.

At the end of her message, she said she hoped to continue having conversations about dating as a widow.

While talking with E! News, Rizzo, who married Saget in 2018, said she felt confident going public with her new relationship since her late husband's three adult daughters, whom he shared with ex-wife Sherri Kramer, are rooting her on as she begins dating again.

“It’s wonderful, it just meant so much to have their blessing,” she said. “They’re just angels. And to have them support is so meaningful.”

Meyer is an actor and comedian who has appeared in the “Garfield” movies, “Clueless,” “Rat Race” and “The Craft,” and has done voice work for “King of the Hill” and “Robot Chicken.” He was previously married to screenwriter and director Deborah Kaplan from 2001 to 2014.

Saget was found dead in an Orlando hotel room on Jan. 9, 2022. He was 65 at the time. His cause of death, head trauma, was later revealed.

Since Saget's death, Rizzo has posted several tributes to her late husband and even accepted an award on his behalf. In 2023, she marked the one-year anniversary of his passing, as did Saget's "Full House" co-stars.

Rizzo discussed the possibility of dating again during an interview with "Extra" in October 2023. When asked if she would accept a date if someone asked her out, she said, "I'm open to it, yes."

Two months later, Rizzo spoke with Fox News Digital and said Saget's daughters had given her their blessing to start dating again.

“Even though it’s something that you don’t think you need permission for, it meant everything to me to have their blessing and just knowing that they want me to be happy and that they love me. And the two of them saying that Bob would want me to be happy meant everything because they’re his kids. They knew him best," she said.

“I’d love to think that Bob would want me to be happy too, but to hear it from them is just a totally different level,” she continued. “And it meant the world just to hear, ‘Hey, we trust you. We love you. We know you’re going to do what’s right, and we want you to be happy.’”
