Kellyanne Conway Battles COVID-19, Daughter's Viral TikTok Videos

WASHINGTON, D.C. — New Jersey native Kellyanne Conway appears to be battling not just the coronavirus but also her daughter's viral TikToks.

The former senior adviser to President Donald Trump remains in quarantine following her COVID-19 diagnosis Friday. The diagnosis came just one day after Trump confirmed that he and first lady Melania were also diagnosed with the virus.

"My symptoms are mild (light cough), and I’m feeling fine. I have begun a quarantine process in consultation with physicians," Conway said in tweet following the diagnosis. "As always, my heart is with everyone affected by this global pandemic."

Meanwhile, Conway's 15-year-old daughter, Claudia, who has made it clear on social media that she strongly opposes her mom's politics, has taken to TikTok to document her family's experience in quarantine. She announced her own COVID-19 diagnosis on Sunday.

In one of her first videos following her mother's diagnosis, Claudia is seen wearing a white mask, appearing grim, looking directly into the camera with the following caption, "I'm furious. Wear your masks. Don't listen to our idiot f--- president piece of s---. Protect yourselves and those around you."

Her series of videos about her family in quarantine have racked up millions of views on the popular social media platform. In a separate black and white video posted two days ago, Claudia is seen partly lying in a tub of water with the caption, "Hey guys. Currently dying of COVID."

In another video, Claudia stares sickly into the camera with the caption, “My mom coughing all around the house after Trump tested positive for COVID. The words, "That’s suspicious,” can be heard playing over the clip.

Conway has not been happy with her daughter's social media videos. In a video posted Monday to TikTok by Claudia —now deleted — the two are seen arguing.

“You caused so much disruption. You lied about your f----ing mother about COVID? About COVID?!” Conway yells as the two lie in bed.

“That’s how I interpreted it,” Claudia responds, to which her mother says, “Interpreted it? You’re taping me again?” Kellyanne — who didn't seem aware that she was being recorded —angrily responds.

In an attempt to make peace, Claudia later uploaded a clip with an on-screen caption that read, "Little clarification from my previous posts. My mother claims that she did not lie to me. She had three tests done. First negative, Second two positive. We were not in communication. I misinterpreted it."

In the clip's background, Conway can be heard saying, "Do it now, you say correction, my mom had three tests."

On Tuesday, Conway took to Twitter to respond to her daughter's TikTok videos as well as take a jab at nasty commenters. In her latest tweet, she writes, "My daughter, Claudia, is beautiful & brilliant. She has access to top doctors & health care & lives comfortably. Like all of you, she speculates on social media. Yet she’s 15. You are adults. We have COVID, but it’s clear who’s really sick."

In late August, Conway announced that she was transitioning out of the role as counselor to the president to focus more on her family. The news of Conway's departure came a day after her daughter took to Twitter to announce she was seeking emancipation after her mother was announced as a speaker at the Republican National Convention.
