Kemba, Smart ruled out for Celtics vs. Bulls originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston

The Boston Celtics will be shorthanded when they host the Chicago Bulls on Monday night.

After originally being listed as questionable, point guards Kemba Walker and Marcus Smart have officially been ruled out for the matchup with non-COVID illnesses.

Also out for the Celtics are big man Robert Williams with left knee soreness and forward Evan Fournier as he continues to miss time due to health and safety protocols. The good news is that stars Jayson Tatum (left ankle impingement) and Jaylen Brown (non-COVID illness) both will be available.

Forsberg: Have surging C's re-entered the contender discussion?

The Celtics are aiming for their seventh straight win following a thrilling victory Saturday over the Golden State Warriors. Ex-C's Daniel Theis and Javonte Green will be on the court for the Bulls as they look to slow down their former team.

Tip-off for Celtics-Bulls is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Boston.
