Kendall County Coronavirus Update: 403 cases, 221 In Recovery
KENDALL COUNTY, IL — According to the press release from the Kendall County Health Department Saturday, May 9, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases have gone up to 403 and no new deaths have been reported.
The release also mentions that 221 cases are in recovery.
The last reported death was from May 7 of a woman in her 80s, bringing the total coronavirus-related death count to 14.
Local health officials said outdoor recreation is a great idea, but people need to continue to take precautions to prevent bringing COVID-19 back home. The Kendall County Health Department offers the following tips for staying healthy while enjoying the outdoors:
Be prepared to go somewhere else if your destination seems crowded
Keep your distance and give others plenty of room
Take everything you need with you to avoid unnecessary stops at stores
Keep your activities within your comfort and skill level to reduce the risk of injury
Leave no trace and take any garbage with you
Be prepared, restrooms, play areas, sports courts, and picnic shelters may be closed

The press release also states:
"Taking a walk or going for a run outdoors during the COVID-19 pandemic can be a saving grace for your mental and physical health."
