Kendall Jenner doesn’t need a fiancé to know what type of engagement ring she wants when the time comes.
The model, 23, who was last linked to NBA player Ben Simmons, recently revealed to Vogue while attending the opening of the Tiffany & Co. flagship store in Sydney, Australia, earlier this month that she’s dreaming of a unique stone in her proposal box.
“I kind of like a colorful engagement ring…a yellow diamond or emerald,” she told the magazine. “I like to get funky!”
Then again, there’s also pink—like the rose-gold Tiffany 16.02-carat oval morganite ring she wore to the event to match her Ingie Paris minidress with a fringe neckline and trumpeted sleeves. “Oh my gosh! I was literally thinking of this as my engagement ring,” she said, raving over the jaw-dropping stone.
At the end of the day, however, it will likely be Jenner’s partner who makes the final call: She told Elle on Tuesday, April 16, that she wants her spouse-to-be to choose her bling—with a little help, of course.
“I kind of love the idea of letting the man pick it and having it be that pretty thing that he thought of himself,” she quipped. “And having the feeling of like, ‘Oh, he made this with me in thought,’ kind of a thing. I like thinking that just the way it was made reminded him of me. That to me is kind of romantic.”
She added: “But at the same time, I'm the type of person that would give hints, and be like, ‘I kind of want this.’ ”
In fact, she joked that she’d even go so far as to pop up in her man’s DMs with potentials: “Totally.”
It’s not the only element of her big day she’s planned for. According to People, Jenner told celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin on the September 30, 2018, episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians that she’s not interested in going the traditional route as far as her future ceremony is concerned.
Instead, she’d rather take a cue from pal Hailey Baldwin, who reportedly pushed for her courthouse marriage to now-husband Justin Bieber.
"I literally want to run to the city hall and get married and just be like ‘F*ck it, let’s go right now,'" she said. “Just like, spur of the moment.”
When Atkin asked what kind of man Jenner would want to walk down the aisle with, the reality star said she doesn’t exactly have one in mind. “I don’t have a type—you cute, you cute,”she joked.
Make no mistake, however: Jenner does want to tie the knot someday, telling Atkin:“I want to get married.”
