Do Kendall and Kylie Hold The Key to Khloe and Caitlyn's Relationship?
Just recently, reports began to surface which indicated that Caitlyn Jenner and Khloe Kardashian hadn't spoken in a matter of years, stemming from the manner that Caitlyn came to them to discuss being transgender and plans for her transition. Well, now these reports are being refuted by both sides, but it isn't a clear cut, black and white situation. Adding to the convolution of the story, it appears that Kendall and Kylie Jenner both have the key to Khloe and Caitlyn's relationship. So what's going on here?

Beginning of Tensions between Khloe and Caitlyn
Going back to 2015, when the tensions allegedly started, it was reported that Khloe didn't support the transition that Caitlyn was undergoing from her former identification as Bruce Jenner. This notion was quickly rebutted, though, as the primary reason for the tension between the two. Khloe claimed that the manner in which her family found out about Caitlyn's transition plans, in addition to, the damning statements that Caitlyn made about Kris Jenner, were the impetus for the relationship strain. Still, there is much that is not clear in this situation.
Have Khloe and Caitlyn Been Speaking?
Just several days ago, a source close to the family reached out to Us Weekly to provide some clarity to the situation. While they did acknowledge that there are tensions between Khloe and Caitlyn, the notion that they have not spoken to each other in years was simply ludicrous. "Khloe and Caitlyn aren’t the closest, but the idea that they haven’t spoken in 5-6 years is crazy. They have seen each other, they have spoken," the insider shared. Perhaps even more intriguing, though, was that the source stated that Khloe wouldn't cut off ties to Jenner because of Kylie and Kendall.
Kendall and Kylie Jenner: The Glue
The same source speaking with Us Weekly continued to clear up this sticky situation by insinuating that Khloe wanted to maintain a relationship with both Kylie and Kendall, and thus wouldn't cut ties from Caitlyn completely out of respect. "For her love of Kylie and Kendall, she wouldn’t have a bad relationship with [Caitlyn],” the source shared. While this isn't the best way to go about justifying a relationship on Khloe's part, and by no means is this the norm, but what truly is within the Kardashian and Jenner families?
The Future of Khloe and Caitlyn's Relationship
Although it's becoming increasingly difficult to maintain a firm understanding of the relationships within the Kardashian and Jenner families, one thing is clear. Kendall and Kylie both seem to be the glue that are holding both sides together. As long as the two can continue to be liaisons, Khloe and Caitlyn will have something of a relationship together. Despite this, it's likely that we haven't heard the last of the tensions between Khloe and Caitlyn, but we'll just have to sit back and wait.
