Ever the doting brother, Kendrick Lamar, was spotted in Glendale, Arizona, on Sunday at the University of Arizona Global Campus, where he was in attendance to celebrate his baby sister’s college graduation.

The brother-sister duo posed for some pictures at the ceremony, where Kayla Duckworth walked the stage to receive her bachelor’s degree in marketing. The Compton rap star sported a blue jacket and baseball cap alongside Duckworth, who donned the traditional cap and gown for the celebratory occasion.

Fans flooded Twitter praising the celeb for supporting his sister.

“I really got respect for people who have rich/famous celebrity family members but still choose to have their own ambitions and goals. It’s admirable,” one user tweeted.

“He’s a legend for a reason, bro; got his family’s back. K-Dot is a family man & I’m happy to see it,” another person tweeted.

“Having your brother as Kendrick Lamar is crazy. respect her grinding tho Fr. Hard work runs in the family clearly,” another user said.

This isn’t Lamar’s first rodeo, as K. Dot celebrated his younger sibling’s high school graduation in 2017. At the time, he gifted her a brand-new silver Toyota Camry to mark the milestone.

“Thank you, big brother, for my graduation gift!” she wrote at the time while sharing a picture of the gracious present.

Lamar is no stranger to including his sister in his music. He added her laugh at the end of “Black Friday.” On the Section.80 cut “Keisha’s Song (Her Pain),” the Pulitzer Prize-winner revealed he played his then 11-year-old sister the song upon writing the track.

In other news, the famed rapper made a return to music this past week, most recently linking up with Beyoncé in a surprise remix of “America’s Got a Problem” on her Renaissance album. The Lamar-assisted track had K. Dot reminding fans in his guest verse of his title as an honorary member of the “Beyhive.”

“I’m an honorary Beyhive / let’s see why,” he raps on the surprise collab.

For fans who turn to AI-generated audio in an attempt for relief from the musical drought of awaiting Lamar’s next project, he continues, “Even AI gotta practice clonin’ Kendrick / The double entendre, the encore remnants.”

The real surprise will be whether K. Dot performs the hit live on Bey’s Renaissance world tour.

Lamar released his most recent album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, last year. The project — his final release on TDE — featured Blxst, Taylour Paige, Sampha, Summer Walker, Baby Keem, Ghostface Killah, Kodak Black and more.

It debuted at No. 1 on the chart in its first week back in May 2022, later allowing the notorious musician to embark on the most financially successful rap tour of all time. So much so, The Big Steppers tour bested the iconic tours of JAY-Z and Kanye West’s Watch The Throne, Drake’s Aubrey & The Three Migos, Travis Scott’s Astroworld and more, pulling in over $110 million across over 70 shows.

Chart Data reported last October that the album surpassed one million units in the U.S., making it eligible for platinum certification. The musical endeavor recently gained another impressive accolade, remaining on Billboard’s 200 for an entire year.

As we await Lamar’s next chart-topping musical project, which we hope is in the works, we’re happy to see the proud big brother supporting his little sister as she marks the honored occasion.
