The principal of Kenmore-Garfield Community Learning Center is on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of an unspecified school district investigation, just weeks before the end of the school year.

Kathryn Rodocker was placed on leave Monday night, an Akron Public Schools spokesman said.

A letter from the district to parents Friday said the district was "reviewing an administrative action brought to our attention" that involves Rodocker.

"Out of respect for Principal Rodocker and the process, Academy Principal Andrea House will serve as acting campus principal to ensure continuity of operation at Kenmore-Garfield HS," the letter said.

The Beacon Journal filed a records request for Rodocker's personnel file earlier in the week. The request is pending.

Reached by phone Friday afternoon, Rodocker said she had no comment.
