Kennedy No. 1 in OSAA baseball coaches poll for week of April 25

The Oregon School Activities Association has released its fourth edition of baseball and softball coaches polls for the 2022 season.

The Kennedy baseball team ranks No. 1 at the Class 2A/1A level for the fourth straight week while St. Paul ranks No. 4, Regis ranks No. 5 and Western Christian ranks No. 10 in the same class level.

Silverton ranks No. 8 at the Class 5A level. Meanwhile, Stayton climbed to its highest rank yet at No. 6 in Class 4A level. Blanchet Catholic (former No. 5) dropped out in the Class 3A level.

SOFTBALL

The No. 2-ranked Cascade softball team in the Class 4A level received the highest rank among all Salem-area schools for the second straight week, while Stayton ranks No. 3 for the second straight week in the same class level.

At the Class 6A level, McNary ranks No. 6. Silverton ranks No. 9.

Dallas / Falls City ranks No. 5 and Central (former No. 9) dropped out at the Class 5A level.

Scio ranks No. 3, Dayton ranks No. 8 and Blanchet Catholic (former No. 8) dropped out in the Class 3A level. Kennedy ranks No. 6 in the Class 2A/1A level.
