The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is launching a new offer for some Florida residents.

The attraction has created a special “Mercury Offer” for discounted tickets this month.

The park will offer reduced admission for residents from Orange, Volusia and Osceola counties from Sept. 12 through 18.

Residents of those three counties can purchase a one-day admission for $19 for adults, and $14 for children ages 3 – 11.

“As part of the Mercury initiative, guests are encouraged to bring canned goods and nonperishable food items to donate to the local Second Harvest Food Bank,” a spokesperson said.

A donation is not required to receive admission savings.

Tickets can be purchased on-site beginning Sept.12.

Proof of residency in the form of a driver’s license or utility bill is required to receive the special, one-day admission rate.

Only the purchaser needs to be a resident of one of the listed counties.
