September means back to school and a drop-off in attendance at popular tourist destinations, and in Brevard County that means the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.

To help curb that, KSCVC is offering a few limited-time ticket deals throughout the month of September.

Visitors drive into the entrance of the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Brevard County's most popular paid tourist attraction.

Future Voyagers

For the entire month, children ages 3-11 will be admitted free with the purchase of a full-price, single-day adult ticket under the new "Future Voyagers" program.

The price of a single-day adult admission for all guests ages 12 and up starts at $75.

Each adult ticket purchase will be valid for three complimentary children’s admissions. And don't worry about the little ones, all children under the age of 3 are always free.

A single-day admission ticket will grant access to all exhibits including Space Shuttle Atlantis, the Apollo/Saturn V Center, and the recently opened Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex.

The "Future Voyagers special" is valid through September 30 and tickets can be purchased online.

A sneak preview for the media was held at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex of their new Planet Play, opening January 1, 2021. It's three levels of immersive multiple story play experience, mainly for ages 2-12. Parents can watch from a coffee, wine and beer lounge.

Mercury Offer

If you're a resident of surrounding counties, KSCVC has a deal for you.

With the Mercury Offer, during the week of September 12, residents of Orange, Volusia, Seminole, and Osceola counties can purchase single-day admission tickets for the discounted rates of $19 for adults and $14 for children ages 3-11.

Guests are asked to bring canned food items for donation to Second Harvest Food Bank, but a donation is not required to receive the deal.

Tickets can be purchased at the Will Call window and proof of residency in the form of a driver's license or utility bill is required. Only the ticket purchaser needs to be a resident in the listed counties.

The offer runs through September 18 and cannot be combined with other offers including "Future Voyagers."

A KSCVC representative told FLORIDA TODAY that a similar offer — "Salute to Brevard" — will be available for Brevard County residents from October 17 through October 30.

The media got a sneak peek inside Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex, the new attraction at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Besides interactive exhibits and four options for space travel, there are flight flown artifacts including the Orion EFT-1 Capsule, SpaceX Cargo Dragon COTS-2, and a SpaceX Falcon 9 booster.

Teachers get in free

In August, KSCVC extended its popular Educator Study Pass program to include all teachers throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The annual program — previously exclusive to Florida teachers — offers complimentary access to KSCVC for a year.

To receive the Educator Study Pass free admission, at the Will Call window teachers must present an active teaching certificate, a school badge with a photo ID, or a letter on school letterhead dated and signed by the school's principal.

Like always, blackout days for special events apply to all offers, and parking is not included.

Don't count on any of these offers to be valid if NASA's Space Launch System rocket takes another crack at launching to the moon. Special launch viewing packages are required and those have been sold out for over a month.
