Two trees have fallen on both sides of the Cuyahoga River, just upstream of the Fairchild Avenue Bridge, and the area should be avoided, the Kent Fire Department posted on Facebook Friday morning.

Together, the trees completely cross the river and leave no clear passage. This area also is narrow and fast moving with a strong laminar flow from shoreline to shoreline.

Plans are to remove this hazard this Tuesday. Warning signs have been posted at the two entry points upriver of this hazard, at River Bend Boulevard and Ravenna Road.

Warnings were placed upriver from where two downed trees are creating a hazard on the Cuyahoga River, north of Fairchild Avenue, in Kent on Friday.
