Kent Fire Department to present comedy show to benefit youth programs

The Kent Fire Department will present a comedy show to benefit youth programs in September.
The Kent Fire Department will present a comedy show to benefit youth programs in September.

The Kent Fire Department will present a Laughter Saves Lives comedy show at American Legion Post 496, at 1945 Mogadore Road in Kent, on Sept. 13.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Academy of Life and Learning programs to support local youth.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the showtime will be at 7 p.m. There will be food trucks and a cash bar, along with raffles and a 50/50.

The event, locally sponsored by Hometown Bank and Water Street Tavern, will be hosted by John Larocchia, retired New York firefighter and president of the Laughter Saves Lives Foundation.

Advance tickets are available at laughtersaveslives.org for $20 each. A limited number of tickets may be available at the door for $30.
