The Golden Flashes led 9-0 out of the gate and 29-9 after one quarter, then continued to pull away for the remainder of the contest.

Senior guard Sincere Carry led the way with 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the field, and dished out eight assists. Junior guard Giovanni Santiago scored 17 points on 6-for-11 shooting from the field, while sophomore forward Cli'Ron Hornbeak added 14 points and six rebounds.

Senior guard Malique Jacobs played just seven minutes before chipping a tooth following a dunk.

“It was great to play,” said KSU head coach Rob Senderoff. “We had a lot of positives, and some things we can take and learn from. Games will be tougher as we go, so hopefully we can continue to improve throughout the trip.”

The Flashes will travel to the Gold Coast on Tuesday, where they’ll meet the Brisbane Capitals in the second of three exhibition games in Australia.
