Kent State Tusc's Lawrence named the USCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Player of the Week

PITTSBURGH, Pa -- DeJuan Lawrence of Kent State Tuscarawas has been named the USCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.

Lawrence recorded his sixth and seventh double-doubles of the season for the Golden Eagles over the weekend. On Friday against Terra State, he scored 10 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, blocked 2 shots and had 3 steals. On Sunday, he was 7/14 from the floor and scored 25 points to lead all scorers in a game versus Bryant and Stratton Cleveland. He was also 11/12 from the free throw line and ruled the boards with 14 rebounds and a blocked shot.

For the two-game series, he was 11 of 26 from the floor with 35 points, 25 rebounds, 4 steals, 3 blocked shots and was 13 of 18 from the free throw line. Lawrence is ranked 3rd in the USCAA D2 in total rebounding, 3rd in rebounds per game, 2nd in offensive rebounds and is 2nd in blocks. He averages 12.7 points per game, 54% field goal shooting and 10.6 rebounds per game.
