Got a sweet tooth? Kent has you covered.

The annual Chocolate Walk returns to downtown Kent from noon to 5 p.m. Feb. 11, rain or shine.

Sponsored by the Thresholds Group and presented by Squirrel City Jewelers, the event features specially crafted chocolate treats at 30 businesses around town.

Tickets are $30 each. A "boozy upgrade" is available for an additional $5, which entitles ticket holders to receive samples of chocolate-themed alcoholic beverages — wine, beer, or spirits that include chocolate flavor, or pair well with chocolate — at participating locations.

There are 250 tickets available. A bundle of 50 tickets will go on sale 11 a.m. Saturday for in-person purchase at Squirrel City Jewelers.

There will be 200 tickets available online beginning 8 a.m. Monday at https://tinyurl.com/k5w6p94c

All ticket holders will automatically be entered into a drawing for a grand prize presented by Squirrel City Jewelers — a pair of diamond stud earrings. The drawing will be held on Monday, Feb. 13.

Proceeds from event will benefit Main Street Kent to support of its mission of making downtown Kent thrive.

On the day of the Chocolate Walk, ticket holders will arrive at the Venice Café/Erie St. Kitchen at staggered intervals between noon and 1 p.m., where they can collect their Chocolate Walk maps, passes and bags.

Participants can then spend the day traveling between more than two dozen participating businesses both new and familiar, collecting chocolate goodies, patronizing other downtown retailers, or grabbing a drink, a bite to eat, or both.
