The No. 10 Kentucky basketball team (6-1) took a sizeable break from action since its Nov. 29 game against Central Michigan. Eight days later, UK will face Southern University out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana in Rupp Arena.
The Tuesday matchup is the second time Southern has come to Kentucky to face a Power 5 school, as the Jaguars lost to Louisville in the Cards' season opener last month.
But for UK, it'll be another game for coach John Calipari to try to "figure out" Oscar Tshiebwe's role within the squad.
Tshiebwe leads the country in rebounding (16 per game) and ranks second on the team in scoring 14.1, beat writer Jon Hale said. Kentucky has outscored its opponents by 164 points in the 191 minutes Tshiebwe has been on the court and been outscored by two in the 89 minutes he has been on the bench.
