Kentucky Flooding: Butler County Sheriff’s team deployed; Update from OFT-1

The Butler County Sheriff’s Office says members of the Emergency Response Services (ERS) are being deployed to Hazard, Kentucky in Perry County due to the flooding, according to a media release.

Sherriff Richard Jones says ERS personnel will assist the Northern Kentucky All-Hazards Incident Management Team and will be assigned to the Emergency Operations Center.

These members will be relieving crews that been in place in Kentucky over the last several days and this operational cycle is expected to last 10 days.

The Butler County Sheriff’s Office ERS joins Ohio Task Force 1 in assisting the Kentucky flooding.

Ohio Task Force 1 said on its Facebook page Thursday that it has completed missions assigned to them in Breathitt County and is currently resting, rehabbing equipment, and awaiting their next assignment.
