Kentucky High School Boys Basketball Media Poll: See where top teams are in final rankings
With an 18-game winning streak entering the postseason, the Warren Central High School boys basketball team kept the No. 1 spot in the final Kentucky High School Basketball Media Poll of the season.
The Dragons (27-1) received all 16 first-place votes and were followed in the top five by Lexington Catholic (28-2), North Oldham (23-5), George Rogers Clark (22-5) and Covington Catholic (24-4).
Warren Central, last season’s state runner-up, will open postseason play Tuesday against host Greenwood in a 14th District Tournament semifinal.
The top 10 teams in the poll remained the same as last week, with the only movement being Frederick Douglass and Lyon County switching spots at Nos. 8-9.
The Kentucky High School Basketball Media Poll is conducted by 16 sports journalists ― one from each of the state’s 16 basketball regions. Along with the statewide top 10, voters provided top-five rankings for their respective regions.
