The Kentucky men's basketball team (15-4, 5-2) is trying to bounce back from a tough loss in a hostile environment after its loss to No. 2 Auburn on Saturday.

During that bout, the Wildcats lost two of its key players to injury, and questions continue to mount about UK's depth leading into the most crucial stretch of the season.

At Auburn, TyTy Washington suffered an ankle injury with 8:20 left in the first half and did not return. To make matters worse, Sahvir Wheeler was also lost after another hard collision on a blindside screen.

Washington and Wheeler were also missing during a key stretch at LSU two weeks ago, and the Wildcats have yet to garner a Quadrant 1 win and prove itself worthy of a top seed in the NCAA Tournament. Tuesday night against Mississippi state before a marquee matchup vs. Kansas could turn things around.

"I think it’s no secret that we’re one of the best teams in the country," Grady said. "I think that’s well-recognized around the basketball world. Although we didn’t play well enough to win, I think we showed that we’ve got a lot of collective fight and grit and we’ve just gotta clean up some things and be better overall.

"It’s about learning. We want to be our best in March. So, we’ll get better from it.”
