Kentucky vs Tennessee football recap: Wildcats fall to No. 3 Volunteers in Knoxville
Coming off a bye week, the Kentucky football team has a massive challenge on its hands in the form of No. 3 Tennessee (7-0, 3-0 SEC).
Kentucky, ranked 19th in the latest AP college football poll, will try to pull off an upset at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville and avenge last season's 45-42 loss to the Volunteers. Tennessee is in the midst of its best start to a season since it won the national championship in 1998.
UK sits at 5-2 overall and 2-2 in Southeastern Conference play. The off week came at an ideal time for the Wildcats since some players needed time to rest their injuries, according to coach Mark Stoops.
One of those injured players, star quarterback Will Levis, said he's now "the healthiest I've felt in months."
The Volunteers are led by quarterback Hayden Hooker, who is the head of the nation's No. 1-ranked offense and second-ranked passing offense. Through seven games this season, Hooker has thrown for 2,093 yards with 18 touchdowns and one interception.
